are precisely manufactured guide elements that are mainly used for drilling holes with the aid of drilling devices,
as they enable quick changes between different drill diameters.
Replaceable bushings or quick-change bushings with stop pins are used to
guide the drill precisely and enable accurate, repeatable drilling
and to stabilise the drill when it enters the workpiece.The bushings are usually inserted into fixtures or components via base bushings SM 1002-2 G / H and secured against rotation with SM 1003-2 collar screws as bayonet locks.
An inserted SM 1003-3 cylindrical pin, which strikes against an SM 1003-2 collar screw,
acts as an additional anti-rotation device.The main use of SM 1002-2 plug-in drill bushings is
for pre-drilling parts for further reaming or thread cutting operations.
