Pressing = unlocking
The SM 1273-831 threaded support bolts are robust support elements with movable shackles that are quick and easy to use.
Pressing the actuator button releases the locking mechanism of the threaded segments
and allows the support bolt to be moved into or out of the mounting thread.
This eliminates the need for time-consuming screwing in and out, as is the case with an eye bolt, for example.
A safety bar protects the actuating button from accidental release.
No special support aids are required on the workpiece.
Assembly:
Threaded bolts must be inserted into threads that are free of burrs.
Press the button and hold it down | Insert the ball bolt | Release the button (the button must return to its original position) | Tighten the threaded bolt by hand until it is fully seated on the contact surface. | Ensure that the thread segments are locked into the mounting thread.
The button (A) is locked when it springs back to its original position due to the spring force.
Do not press the button under load!
Disassembly:
Turn the threaded support bolt approximately a quarter turn counterclockwise | Press the button and hold it down | Pull out the ball support bolt | Release the button.
Notes:
- Threaded lifting bolts are designed for lifting and holding individual loads (not people!!).
- Threaded lifting bolts are not suitable for continuous rotation of the load.
- Contamination (e.g. grinding sludge, oil and emulsion deposits, dust, etc.) can impair the function of threaded lifting bolts.
- Before each use, threaded lifting bolts must be inspected for visible defects (e.g. deformations, breaks, cracks, damage, missing balls, corrosion, unlocking function).
- Threaded lifting bolts must be screwed completely into a thread with a taper and rest fully on the contact surface.
- When inserting a threaded stud, rotation of the load must be prevented.
- Impact and shock loads must be avoided, even on threaded studs that are not in use.
- Full mobility of the shackle must be ensured.
- Damaged threaded bolts must not be used any longer.
- The load values F1 / F2 / F3 (table in data sheet) apply to lifting in a steel mount.
Operating temperature range max.: 250 °C
