Quick-release star grips SM 1196-1 made of plastic with bushes made of steel or stainless steel are used
when high clamping forces are not required or when the handle needs to be removed completely
after loosening and quickly returned to the clamping position.

The handle is slanted onto the threaded bolt.
When clamping, the thread (the function is achieved via a half-sided thread) engages in the threads of the bolt.
Clamping is achieved with a slight turn.
Functional reliability is only guaranteed if the clamping surface is at right angles to the threaded bolt.
The threaded bolt should be a few mm longer than the height of the handle.

Vibration can cause the parts to come loose.
