Turning technology

Turning is a core manufacturing process in machining in which a workpiece is set in rotational motion and machined using a stationary cutting tool. This process is primarily used to produce cylindrical or rotationally symmetrical parts. The lathe is the main machine used in this process and enables precise machining through various operations such as longitudinal turning, facing, thread turning, and profile turning. Typical applications of turning include the production of axles, shafts, bushings, and screws in industries such as mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, and precision engineering. By using CNC lathes (Computerized Numerical Control), turning can be carried out with high precision and automation, increasing production efficiency and repeatability.
