Turning Technology

Turning technology is a central manufacturing process in machining, where a workpiece is set into a rotating motion and processed using a stationary cutting tool. This primarily produces cylindrical or rotationally symmetrical parts. The lathe, also known as a turning machine, is the main equipment in this process and enables precise machining through various methods such as longitudinal turning, face turning, thread turning, and profile turning. Typical applications of turning technology include the production of axles, shafts, bushings, and screws in industries such as mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, and precision mechanics. Through the use of CNC lathes (Computerized Numerical Control), turning technology can be performed with high precision and automation, increasing production efficiency and repeatability.
