Senator Dr. Melanie Leonhard visits SCHOLZ MECHANIK GmbH!

Today, we had the special honor of welcoming the Senator for Economy and Innovation, Dr. Melanie Leonhard, to SCHOLZ MECHANIK GmbH. She was able to see for herself the innovative concept of the OpenLab Mobile, which is currently in use at our site in Hamburg-Hausbruch.

The OpenLab Mobile is an innovative project operating as a mobile teaching and innovation workshop—a platform for exchange and collaboration regarding the production of the future. With a special focus on digital manufacturing technologies that have high sustainability potential, it offers an inspiring environment for working together on the solutions of tomorrow.

Over a period of 3 days, our employees and interested parties were able to participate in workshops with various thematic focuses. They had the opportunity to try out digital manufacturing technologies and gain valuable insights into the future of production.

Dr. Leonhard was enthusiastic about the possibilities that digital manufacturing technologies offer Hamburg-based companies and engaged in an intensive exchange with our employees regarding the opportunities these technologies present.

During a subsequent company tour, we were able to provide information about our expertise in precision manufacturing and the use of additively manufactured components in our automated production areas.
