Wipers between the button and the guide as well as the sealing ring between the guide and the housing keep the latching mechanism tight on the button side.
At the same time, the high surface quality (Ra < 0.8 μm) and the dead-space-free fastening prevent dirt from adhering and facilitate cleaning.

If the indexing pin should not protrude temporarily, indexing plungers with indexing lock form C are used.
The knob is turned 90° after the pin has been retracted; the knob retains its position by means of a detent notch.

To ensure the function of the sealing rings, fastening or through holes on the housing must be made at right angles, burr-free and without chamfer.
